Ram’s next movie with stylish and aesthetic director Goutham Menon has begun shooting in Chennai. Sometime back, there were reports that Ram walked out of the project as it was supposed to be produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. Ram has serious differences with Bellamkonda over remuneration for his movie Kandireega. He had to approach MAA for resolving the issue.
A miffed Ram decided to cancel this project. But now, Goutham Menon himself is the producer of this film and so the movie is back on track. A.R.Rahman scores the music for this youthful love story. Samantha plays the female lead opposite Ram in this movie.
Goutham is making the movie in Tamil also simultaneously and the Tamil film has Jiva and Samantha in the lead roles.The Tamil version has been titled ‘Neethane En Ponvasantham’.
