Salman Khan’s Bodyguard hits Rs 1 crore mark in Nizam?

Bodyguard
Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor starrer Bodyguard has taken a record opening across the country on the first day of its release. Reliance Entertainment which produced the film claimed that the first day’s nett collections are close to Rs 21-22 crores which is a new record in history of Indian cinema. What’s interesting to note is that, the film collected more than Rs 1 crores in Nizam territory despite being a Hindi film. Buzz is that the film collected around Rs 1.34 crores on first day, which is close to what several big starrers in Telugu collect on opening day. In Hyderabad alone, the film released in around 54 screens and most of them were houseful on first day. The reviews of the film were generally bad; however, Bodyguard has Salman Khan in lead role and the fact that there were no other big releases and it being a festive season helped the box office collections to soar to record heights. Trade analysts have predicted that the film will hit the Rs 100 crore mark within two weeks, although it remains to be seen how long the film continues to rake in such record collections
